Lucca Comics and Games keeps on growing every year and now is already one of the
most important cultural events of the world.

As every year Ciruelo painted a piece in the Area Performance. All artworks done in that space
were auctioned for charity. Also, Ciruelo was invited to be part of a panel with Marco Bianchi.

The principal 2017 exhibit was Michael Whelan's, and one of the other guest artists was John Howe,
a good friend of Ciruelo. Other guests were: Karl Kopinski, Paul Bonner, Heather Theurer, etc.

Lucca becomes the Hollywood of Comics through a wall in which the most famous artists of the world leave their handprints in concrete. The first artists in doing so were Ciruelo, Robert Crumb, Gipi, Masakazu
Katsura, Leo Ortolani, Gilbert Shelton and Silver.

This show has become the most important comic and fantasy event in Europe. There, Ciruelo
meets thousands of fans every year.

In his own booth Ciruelo always exhibits original artworks and signs books and prints. In 2009 he
also had the chance to paint along with Rick Berry, one of his artist heroes.
